Miss Abigail is 2

I know every time I shoot Abigail I say she has gotten cuter, but seriously how can I not!  She is just darling.  I adore that she loves to get all dolled up too!  I am always entertained every time this little one just hangs with all of us.   We ended with her having soaked clothes, a bubble mustache and playing the harmonica.  Pure, innocent entertainment!  I love it!

Kayla and some sunshine

It was my pleasure to shoot Kayla recently before she got to head off to Canada with some friends.  The weather was warm, and  sunshine was beautiful in Devou Park. So we soaked it all up!  She look so elegant in her lace dress.  Thanks for being a great model Kayla!

Just to feel a little glamourous

Feeling glamourous is such a special part of being a woman.  Dusting you face, watching the curls fall almost perfectly, and of course finding the right outfit……always an issue.  But in the end it all comes together to make you feel confident and sexy.   I have always enjoyed that part of being a woman.  To be a man and never get to make the decision of whether a necklace and earrings are too much, to wear boots or heels, or just whether it needs a touch of red or leopard.  I would never trade it!  Ahh a woman’s love of accessories.    Recently, I was privileged to shoot with Chris Chen, from Chris Chen Studios and get to indulge in that.  He was awesome!  Plus,  being shot by super talented photographers is always such a great learning experience for me.   Taking the role of the model makes me aware of all the insecurities I face before the camera, and how important the photographers role is in helping women feel comfortable in their own skin during a photo shoot.  I had a blast and learned from having fun and letting loose.  Not a bad night;)

Sharing some love

There are some blogs I lust over.   Christina Greve, created of Divas and Dreams, a blogger, photographer and life coach.  Her photography is inspirational, dreamy and  glamorous.  A style I absolutely LOVE!  She tells stories very eloquently and has some amazing information on her site.  I am inspired to share her blog because she has taught me lessons about photography through her thoughts, and has a new mini magazine out if you are into this.   I know I just read it and enjoyed!  And its free:)  You can link there below and sign up for the newsletter!

Amanda and John

It turned out to be a beautiful evening in Mt Adams for an engagement shoot.  For February I was expecting snow and grey skies.  Cincinnati has thrown some strange weather this winter.  The light showing through the city set the mood for love!  Although if you ask Amanda, I am sure those arms were very chilled by the end!  Of course, John was not opposed to keeping her warm. Plus we took a little break to sit by the fire at Longworth’s.   The sun gave us some beautiful light to give tribute to where they decided to love one another and continue making memories for the rest of their lives.  Congratulations on your engagement:)

I think their dog, Turtle thinks he’s a dog model.  Right before I shot the photo on the right, he was looking away.  As a cheesy goof I told him to give me his good side…..and he sure did!  He turned right toward me as if he knew what I was saying.

Look at Turtle not even needing a leash!  So behaved.  I think he liked the camera!
